Oxford United return from the international break with a tricky Good Friday tie at home against promotion hopefuls, Hull.

Oxford United Welcome Hull

Team News, Form and Predicted Line-Up

Hull used their Sheffield Wednesday voucher before the international break but did suffer a surprise defeat on the road at West Brom in their previous fixture. The Tigers have had an inconsistent run, with victory over Wrexham but defeat at home against Millwall, and losses against QPR and Ipswich alongside wins over Portsmouth and Derby. However, they have the third best away record in the league and have won eight of their last 11 games on the road.

Will Lankshear remains Oxford’s top scorer with eight league goals while skipper Cameron Brannagan has five. Jamie Donley scored while on international duty with Northern Ireland in their 1-1 draw against Cardiff, where Ciaron Brown and Brodie Spencer also featured.

Joe Gelhardt and Oli McBurnie lead the way with 13 league goals each. Former U’s forward Kyle Joseph has also added eight with John Lundstram on one.

Oxford have no new injury concerns for this fixture, with long-term absentees Tyler Goodrham and Brian De Keersmaecker still sidelined.

Hull are without Akin Famewo, Yu Hirakawa and Eliot Matazo, although Ryan Giles, Matty Jacob and Darko Gyabi are close to a return.

The Tigers won the reverse fixture but the U’s were victorious when the sides last met at Grenoble Road. In fact, Hull haven’t won in Oxford in 14 attempts, a run that goes back to 1979.

Matt Bloomfield has only faced Hull once as an opposing manager and his Luton side were 1-0 winners.
