Sunderland face Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon at the Stadium of Light, with the home team looking to continue their unbeaten home record. The Black Cats have lost just one of their last seven games in all competitions; however, four of those have been draws. Last time out, they beat Everton away in the FA Cup, and with Palace having selection and form issues, they will be hoping to capitalise on this.
The Eagles are on a poor run of form and have not won in the last nine games. This includes a defeat in the FA Cup at the hands of National League North side Macclesfield Town. Fans will also be disheartened by the news that captain Marc Guehi is expected to leave the club soon and won’t feature today.
Here is the latest news and predicted lineups for both Sunderland and Crystal Palace.

England international defender Marc Guehi will not be selected due to his imminent departure from the club. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Eagles boss Oliver Glasner said: “My latest understanding is that a deal with Marc is in the final stages. I can’t confirm a club because it’s still not done, but it’s in the final stages. The result is that Marc doesn’t play tomorrow for us.”
Elsewhere, Jefferson Lerma is available for selection, having missed the last two games due to concussion protocols.
Dani Muñoz is expected to miss the game, having had just one training session this week. Eddie Nketiah, Cheick Doucoure and Nathaniel Clyne are injured, and Ismaila Sarr is at Afcon. Danny Imra and Chadi Riad are available for selection.
