Latest Oxford United Team and Injury News for Stoke Clash 

Oxford United welcome Stoke on Tuesday night with both clubs looking to extend their unbeaten run to three games.

The U’s left it late to draw against Millwall last time out while the Potters eased past promoting rivals, Bristol City at the Bet365 Stadium.

Both managers have two players sidelined with injury, which we’ll tell you all about right here.

Oxford United Injury News

Matt Phillips – Thigh

Winger Matt Phillips is still absent after picking up a thigh injury back in September. The club are yet to confirm a return date.

Brodie Spencer – Foot

Full-back Brodie Spencer picked up an injury to his foot in the recent win at Hillsborough. Initially, the injury didn’t seem too bad but Gary Rowett is fearful it could be longer than first expected.

Jack Currie – Knock

On the other side of defence, Jack Currie picked up a knock after a heavy challenge against Millwall. The left-back was immediately replaced by Greg Leigh but the extent of the injury is unknown as yet.

Oxford United Returning Players

Ole Romeny – Attacker Ole Romeny is still yet to make a matchday squad despite making his return from injury for Indonesia during their World Cup qualifiers in the last international break. Rowett has said he felt he was “fast tracked” to the national side and will monitor his progress for the U’s.

Stoke Injury News

Sam Gallagher – Muscle

30-year-old Sam Gallagher has been blighted with injury during his 14 months at Stoke and remains sidelined with a muscle injury.

Bosun Lawal – Hamstring

Versatile player Bosun Lawal is another in the treatment room with the 22-year-old absent with a hamstring injury.
