Stoke are also looking to make it three games without defeat after a 1-0 win at Portsmouth before a 5-1 demolition of Bristol City last time out. The Potters have only lost once in their last seven and have moved above Millwall in the table to third place, just one point behind Middlesbrough.

Mark Robins’ side have done well on the road this season with three wins and two draws from their seven fixtures, picking up 11 points. In contrast, the U’s have just six points from games at home this season.

Brodie Spencer looks likely to miss the game after sitting out the draw against Millwall. There is also an injury concern for Jack Currie, who picked up a knock against the Lions.

Stoke are without Sam Gallagher and Bosun Lawal for this fixture.

Divin Mubama netted a hat trick in the win over Bristol City, taking his tally to five for the season. Will Lankshear drew a blank against Millwall but has been joined by skipper Cameron Brannagan on four goals after his strike last time out.

Oxford were unbeaten against the Potters last season, winning 1-0 in this fixture before drawing at the Bet365 Stadium in the reverse game. The U’s have lost just once in the last eight meetings, while Stoke are winless in their ten visits to Oxford.

Gary Rowett has come up against the Potters ten times, and he has six wins and three draws from those meetings. However, against Mark Robins, both managers have three wins against each other, with two games ending in a stalemate.
