The Boys in Green have their qualification hopes at rock bottom after losing to 103rd-ranked Armenia last month and will basically need a miracle result here to keep some faint hopes alive. The Portuguese squad know that they have a commanding lead atop the group, a win would allow them to all but confirm a spot at the tournament.

Caoimhin Kelleher starts in goal with Seamus Coleman, Dara O’Shea, Jake O’Brien, Nathan Collins, and Festy Ebosele in the back line. Josh Cullen, Ryan Manning, Chiedozie Ogbene,  Jayson Molumby, and Evan Ferguson rounding things out.

Notable Changes

Very defensive from the manager who has stuck with a back five but has extra defensive presence in Ogbene who has started as a wing-back. Manning is also a wide defensive presence. There may be a change to the formation to go even more conservative or a total shift around Ferguson with no Knight, Taylor or Azaz from the last outing.

Diogo Costa starts in goal with Ruben Dias, Diogo Dalot, Goncalo Inacio, and Nuno Mendes in the back line. Bruno Fernandes, Ruben Neves, and Vitinha make up the midfield with Cristiano Ronaldo, Pedro Neto, and Bernardo Silva rounding things out.

Notable Changes

One change in the back line as Inacio comes in for Joao Cancelo. The rest remains the same in a 4-2-3-1 setup.
