These are the confirmed lineups for Wrexham vs Southampton in a marquee clash on the first weekend of EFL Championship action. These two teams are new to the Championship as one just came up from League 1 while the Saints spent the past season in the Premier League. Danny Ward starts in goal with Connor Coady, Lewis Brunt, Max Cleworth, Liberato Cacace, Josh Windass, George Dobson, Ryan Barnett, Matt James, Kieffer Moore, and Lewis O’Brien.

Notable Changes

There’s a host of changes from the Groningen clash with only the goalkeeper and the back three still in one piece. Cacace comes in at wing-back which is a natural switch. Newest signing Mooder immediately comes in and will be hoping to make an impression as one of the leading attackers in the lineup.

Gavin Bazunu starts behind a back line of Yukinari Sugawara, Jack Stephens, Joshua Quarshie, and Ronnie Edwards. Ryan Fraser, Shea Charles, Damion Downs, Welington, Adam Armstrong, and Jay Robinson round out the eleven.

Notable Changes

There’s a change to the back line as James Bree moves out for Sugawara while Moses Sesay and Cameron Archer are also dropped with Welington and Ryan Fraser coming in. The main pieces remain the same there’s just some minor adjustments.
