Leicester City Predicted Lineup vs Tottenham Hotspur for January 26

Leicester City’s dismal run of form continued with yet another loss on Saturday, with the Foxes being dominated in a 2-0 loss to Marco Silva’s Fulham side. This Sunday, January 26, Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s side will look to pick up their first points in weeks against a heavily depleted Tottenham Hotspur side, who sit just 15th in the league. Here is the Leicester City predicted lineup for the visit to Spurs.

Leicester City Predicted Lineup Vs Tottenham Hotspur

How Leicester City Have Lined-up Recently

Since the start of the season, Leicester City have used a 4-2-3-1 formation under both Steve Cooper and Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

Jakub Stolarczyk has seen a run of games recently, with Mads Hermansen still injured. Wout Faes, Conor Coady and Jannik Vestergaard have all started at centre-back, with Caleb Okoli benched. Viktor Kristiansen and James Justin have been the preferred full-backs recently, but with the arrival of Woyo Coulibaly, their minutes could be under fire. Meanwhile, Harry Winks and Boubakary Soumaré have been the go-to pairing in the double pivot.

Jordan Ayew and Facundo Buonanotte have recently shared minutes on the right, whilst Stephy Mavididi has been a recurring presence off the left. Then, in the centre, Moroccan-international Bilal El Khannouss has been the first choice under the Dutchman. Leading the line has been Jamie Vardy, with Patson Daka regularly coming off the bench.

Leicester City’s Recent Form and Tactics

The poor form for the Foxes continued with yet another loss to make it seven in a row in the league. The defeat sees them remain in 19th and just two points off Wolves and Ipswich, as they both lost last time out. The morale looked to be at an all-time low for the season after the loss, with fans booing Van Nistelrooy’s changes. The Dutchman’s substitutions met fierce frustration around the ground as creative spark El Khannouss was replaced after little over an hour, whilst Facundo Buonanotte was afforded just 20 minutes.

The 4-2-3-1 formation has seen little success as of late and has led to many wanting changes in the tactics. This could all come true for the upcoming fixture as new signing Coulibaly enters the squad and offers something different to the current options.

Leicester City Injuries to Consider

There are no new injuries for the Foxes this week as revealed in the Dutchman’s press conference. Hermansen still remains sidelined, whilst Wilfred Ndidi could be back in training this week.
