FPL Tips: Three Midfielders You Need to Have for Gameweek 4 Including ‘Superb’ Player

The Premier League is set to return this weekend with the North London derby and other exciting matches on the list. Last Word on Football brings you three midfielders who should feature in your Gameweek 4 squad, with the FPL deadline set for 11:00 AM BST on September 14.

Three Midfielders to Select for FPL Gameweek 4

Mohamed Salah (£12.7m)

Mohamed Salah proved to be a menace for the defenders as he helped Liverpool put Manchester United to the sword at Old Trafford a few days back. The Egyptian scored a goal and two assists, accumulating 17 points. He also received bonus points (3) for the third game running, highlighting how influential he has been this season.

He should easily carry on his goal-scoring exploits this weekend. With all due respect to the Nottingham Forest defence, they don’t have what it takes to stop Salah when he is in this kind of form.

Though some might consider his price tag too high, he always repays the faith that FPL players keep in him with a steady stream of goals and assists.

Jeremy Doku (£6.5m)

Jeremy Doku hasn’t exactly set the stage on fire this season. He is yet to score or assist, but against Brentford he has a golden chance to open his account. With both Savinho and Phil Foden still doubtful for the weekend clash, the Belgian will surely start.

Brentford are expected to miss a few defenders, including Kristoffer Ajer, due to injury, thus making Doku’s job easier. The Bees’ keeper Mark Flekken might be a hindrance to scoring, but the Manchester City winger and his teammates have enough ammunition to break down the opposition’s defence.

Morgan Rogers (£5.1m) – A Cost-Effective Option for Gameweek 4

Morgan Rogers is a shrewd choice for Gameweek 4 since he will be facing Everton, the team with the worst defensive record in the league this season. The Toffees have conceded ten goals and can be expected to ship in more against Aston Villa.

Rogers has been “superb” so far, especially against Arsenal where he continuously brushed past Thomas Partey as if the midfielder wasn’t there. The Englishman is strong, fast, and good at carrying the ball over long distances.

Less than 15% of the teams have selected Rogers. It would be wise to pick him and gain an advantage over the remaining 85% teams.
