How Germany Have Lined-up Recently
This is Germany’s first match since their Euros quarter-final defeat to Spain at the beginning of July, but in every game up until their exit from the competition, they lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Kai Havertz spearheaded the attack with Jamal Musiala in behind him, while Toni Kroos dictated the play from his deep midfield role, but they’ll now have to make do without the latter after he announced his retirement from football at the end of his nation’s Euros journey.
Germany Recent Form and Tactics
Despite going out of their home Euros at the quarter-final stage, Germany’s run up until that point was impressive, so much so that many were tipping them to go all the way.
