Bournemouth’s Defensive 'Star' Will 'Discuss' His Future at the Club

It’s been an intense day so far for everyone surrounding AFC Bournemouth. News broke this morning that Dominic Solanke is nearing a move to North London, with Spurs reportedly having a £57 million + add-ons bid accepted by the Cherries. Now, there is jeopardy over Marcos Senesi’s future.

Marcos Senesi Hires New Agents and Will Discuss His Future at Bournemouth

First Solanke, Now Senesi?

Fabrizio Romano has revealed on Instagram, that Bournemouth’s “star” defender “has signed with ROOF as new agency”. He continued: “His future will be discussed soon as Senesi has now appointed new agent”.

With Solanke already moving to North London, this would be a huge blow to Andoni Iraola’s side. His range of passing with his left foot last season was crucial to their success in the Premier League.

Who Are ROOF?

ROOF agency currently represent fellow Bournemouth players Philip Billing and Max Aarons. Aarons has already been linked with a move away, as Premier League newbies Southampton had a bid rejected for the former Norwich talent earlier in the window.

As for Billing, he could well be on the move as well, as his game time looks to be restricted this season. The Dane has been out of favour ever since Iraola arrived last summer.

Therefore, given the fact ROOF are in charge of two other South Coast players looking for a move, could Senesi be looking to do the same thing?

Senesi Would Be a Huge Loss for the Cherries

The former Feyenoord star was vastly impressive in the Premier League, finishing with the most goal contributions out of every top-flight centre-back (9). He played an integral role at the heart of the Cherries defence, building a formidable partnership with Illia Zabarnyi.

The arrival of Dean Huijsen just last week might be causing Senesi to consider his options, with the Spaniard being thrown straight into the starting line-up over Senesi against Rayo Vallecano.

Huijsen, a left-sided centre-back, is the inevitable heir to Senesi’s throne in that position, however, he could be set to take over sooner than expected.
