The renaissance of Marc Cucurella and how well he linked up with Williams in the Italy fixture could see Chelsea interested, with Liverpool also said to be targeting the Spanish player. In addition to the English clubs, Romano and The Athletic mention that Barcelona want to sign the player and pair him with Lamine Yamal. Williams is a huge talent and would improve any club he goes to, with the player reportedly having a £46.5m release clause.

Williams Addresses His Future

Williams enjoyed an impressive season in La Liga, scoring eight goals and providing 19 assists in all competitions, and at 21 years old, it feels like there is so much more to come from the electric winger.

In a recent interview, the Bilbao player spoke on his future: “I’ve seen reports talking about my future, but honestly I have no clue of anything.”

He continued: “Right now, I want to focus on the Euros and nothing else.”

Speaking on his feelings about Bilbao he said: “I am so happy in Bilbao, I signed a new deal and performed well last season. I feel at home, but I don’t know what I will do. Nobody can tell you about the future.”

Williams is an exceptional talent who looks set to have an impressive Euros after his showing against Italy, where he showed his class with the ball at his feet. He’s great at dribbling and brings a directness to any team he plays for. Williams is also adept at picking the right option when crossing, but he can dribble past players getting fans off their seats and leaving opposition players in a tangle.
