Manchester United ended their 2023/24 season on a high note by winning the FA Cup title by defeating rivals Manchester City at Wembley. But the club are now looking to reshape their squad for the upcoming campaign and seem to have made a decision on Casemiro’s future.

What is the Truth of Manchester United’s Price Tag for Casemiro?

The journalist adds that this has not been confirmed by United officials yet and that the price tag for a possible sale will be decided soon. He insists that there is a strong case for the 32-year-old to leave Old Trafford in the summer and also confirms that Saudi Arabian clubs have an interest in him. However, Romano also adds that there have been no formal offers made by any club for the ex-Real Madrid midfielder, who arrived at United for an initial £60 million fee in 2022.

Who Else are United Likely to Let Go?

The Red Devils are likely to get rid of many players from their first-team squad in their first major summer transfer window since Sir Jim Ratcliffe became a co-owner and took sporting control of the club. United have already confirmed that Raphael Varane will not get a contract extension and will be allowed to become a free agent once his contract expires at the end of June. Anthony Martial also announced recently that he will be leaving the club after nine years and his contract will also be allowed to expire by the club.

The potential departure of Casemiro won’t exactly be surprising after he delivered a series of poor performances in the 2023/24 season. The Brazilian midfielder missed many games through injuries and was only able to make 32 appearances, scoring five goals but making a lot of mistakes in key situations. The 32-year-old was hailed as “magnificent” last year, but his time at Old Trafford might be coming to a swift end.
