A string of incredible performances during Bayern’s treble-winning run in 2020 showcased Davies’ true potential as a ball-playing full-back. The 23-year-old has maintained a starting spot at Allianz Arena under four managers. However, transfer uncertainty has seemingly taken a toll on his form in recent weeks.
Exit Links and Poor Form
Real Madrid have intensified their efforts to sign Davies ahead of the next transfer window, reportedly reaching a verbal agreement with him in late February. However, their defensive target has been performing way below his standards since then.

Last month, Bayern restarted contract talks with Davies, whose current deal runs until 2025. However, a move to Real Madrid is still the most likely scenario for the Canadian international as the negotiations have stalled again.
According to Marca, Bayern initially set April 1 as the deadline for the player’s representatives to respond to their offer. However, they were publicly criticized by Davies’ agent, who told Bild: “We are being given an ultimatum and are supposed to react within two weeks because the club is under pressure and took a long time to reposition itself in the management? That’s not fair.”
Bayern are expected to receive a formal offer for Davies soon after the summer transfer window opens in June.
