Bowen, previously described as “unbelievable” has five goals in seven matches this domestic campaign. The Hammers were drawn in Group A along with Olympiacos, Freiburg and Backa Topola. Wins against the Serbians and Germans has West Ham first in the group. Bowen has yet to feature for David Moyes in the competition but would be integral to a deep run.
The London Stadium faithful have grown accustomed to shouting Bowen’s name whenever he utilises the open space behind defences. His work ethic will be vital – to any success West Ham has this season.
