Both Crystal Palace and West Ham were reportedly interested in bringing the French youth international to the Premier League. However, Fabrice Hawkins has dealt both teams a massive blow with a recent post on social media, to declare the player will now stay at PSG. A report from Sports Zone has suggested the player wants to move to West Ham.
Palace And West Ham Offers Not Good Enough
During the course of deadline day, it was looking increasingly likely that Ekitike described as an “amazing talent” would be headed to England. This was made even more likely when Fabrizio Romano reported that PSG had completed a deal for Randal Kolo Muani.

It appears PSG wanted any potential move to be on a permanent deal, but neither West Ham nor Palace were willing to meet those demands.
The English clubs apparently put loan offers in for the French youth international and these were rejected by the European giants.
Ekitike Had Negotiated With Palace
Earlier in the day, Palace looked to be the front runners for Ekitike’s signature, and it was reported the player had negotiated with The Eagles. However, it also said in the same report that PSG knew nothing of these negotiations and would not approve any loan deals.
So, it seems this transfer saga is over. At least for now. There could still be a twist in the tale as we approach the end of deadline day.
