Liverpool's Anfield- Ryan Gravenberch set to join

Highly-Rated Championship Midfielder on Liverpool’s Transfer Radar

Highly-rated Sunderland Midfielder Dan Neil is on Liverpool’s transfer radar according to Anfield Edition. The 21-year-old Sunderland supporter has risen through the ranks on Wearside and has established himself as a first-team regular.

Sunderland would be unwilling to sell Neil; however, the pull of Liverpool and the right fee may persuade both the Black Cats and Neil that his future lies at Anfield.

Sunderland’s Dan Neil on Liverpool’s Transfer Radar

21-year-old Dan Neil, an England youth international has become one of the first names on Sunderland’s team sheet in recent years. He has begun all four games this season and last season competed in 47 Championship games as the Black Cats reached the playoffs.

Described by Sunderland legend Kevin Phillips as a “brilliant player“, Neil could follow in the footsteps of another Black Cats supporter Jordan Henderson who went on to become captain of Liverpool, a full England international and lifted the Premier League and Champions League trophies amongst others.

It Could be a Tough Deadline Day for Sunderland

Should reports be true, Sunderland could be set to lose several first-team players today. Ross Stewart is set to sign for Championship rivals Southampton in a deal worth £10 million. He could be joined on the South Coast by winger Patrick Roberts with the Saints offering the Black Cats £3 million with another £2 million in add-ons.

Should Dan Neil also leave and any other first-team squad members, Sunderland will need to work fast to bring in replacements or their squad will be extremely depleted ahead of the rest of the season which begins at home to Southampton on Saturday.
