What Qualities Onana Would Bring to Old Trafford

Onana has previously been described as “exceptional” by Pep Guardiola. The Cameroon international is cool under pressure and is comfortable taking on pressing opponents and picking out teammates with decisive passes. His vision is one of his best assets, and he often impresses everyone with his accurate passing.

Onana was Erik ten Hag’s No.1 for the majority of his time at Ajax, winning various trophies. Signing the Inter Milan goalkeeper would enable the Old Trafford boss to implement his free-flowing football philosophy from back to front. He is also a competent shot-stopper. Manchester United look to be pushing forward in their pursuit of Mason Mount, with personal terms 100% agreed according to Fabrizio Romano. The Red Devils look set to return with a third official bid in excess of £55m for the Chelsea star. The pursuit of Onana looks to be gathering pace, following on from the Mount deal.
