Jackson Considered a Cheaper Alternative to Other Targets
The 21-year-old striker had an unbelievable end to the 2022/23 La Liga season with the Yellow Submarines, having scored nine goals in the last eight league games – something which has caught the attention of the Premier League giants.

Kinsella adds that new manager Mauricio Pochettino has identified him as a striker target and a cheaper alternative to someone like Victor Osimhen. The player could be available for as little as £30 million which is why Chelsea held discussions with his representatives recently to discuss a potential move.
According to the Standard’s report, the London club believes it will be difficult for them to sign Osimhen because Napoli are not willing to sell him in the summer. The Nigerian played a key part in helping them win the Serie A title following a three-decade-long drought. That is why they’ve started making moves to sign the Villarreal man amid attempts to improve the frontline for the upcoming campaign.
Who is Nicolas Jackson?
The Senegalese forward has only broken onto the scene over the last few seasons and just had his best season so far. He scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 38 appearances across all competitions last term.

The 21-year-old was praised as a player with ‘extraordinary potential’ by manager Quique Setien last year. He has also made his international debut for Senegal, gaining two caps for his country. Jackson is known for being an impressive finisher with the ability to dribble past players with ease too, both traits that can help him excel in the Premier League.
