Dalot to Be Rewarded With New Contract for Impressive Season
The 27-year-old full-back valued at £35 million by transfermarkt has enjoyed an impressive renaissance at Manchester United. Romano states in his update that United are confident they can agree on a new long-term contract with the Portuguese defender. Dalot moved to Old Trafford on Jun 6, 2018, on a five-year contract from FC Porto. Then Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was full of praise for the incoming defender, describing him as “extremely talented” with all the attributes to succeed at the club.

The Portugal international has enjoyed his best season yet at Old Trafford, being ever present in the first half of the season, and has made 41 appearances in all competitions. As the season has progressed, Dalot has been forced to share the right-back responsibilities with Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The Old Trafford boss Erik ten Hag admitted both players are pushing to be the first-choice right-back. “I think it’s really close, the competition between them.”
Erik Ten Hag Building for Next Season
Manchester United look set to be playing Champions League football next season, which will help Ten Hag in attracting players to the club. The Old Trafford giants have been linked with a move for Ajax star Mohammed Kudus, as reported by David Ornstein from The Athletic.

The Old Trafford manager is also keen to keep a core of existing players and has already agreed on a new contract for left-back Luke Shaw, who will extend his stay at the club until 2027. In addition, David de Gea is thought to have agreed on a new deal to extend his Old Trafford stay. It seems Ten Hag knows exactly who he wants to remain to be part of his ongoing revolution at Manchester United.
