Liverpool Close to Sealing Personal Agreements With Mac Allister

It has been reported that the Reds are aiming to refresh their midfield line for next season to possibly help them compete better than they were able to do in the current campaign, where they look set to fall short in the Premier League top-4 race and miss out on Champions League football.

Romano adds that Liverpool are really close to fully agreeing on the details of the personal terms with the Argentine midfielder and the kind of salary that he will earn at the club. It’s also added that the Merseyside club are well aware of the competition for Mac Allister’s signature which is why they want to resolve the final details and secure an agreement for his signing soon.

Romano states that Brighton are aware of the midfielder’s desire to leave them. The plan is for him to leave the club early in the summer transfer window, and that a possible departure could be sealed as soon as June.

With Naby Keita and Milner both leaving Anfield after their contracts expire, Mac Allister is probably being eyed as a possible replacement for one of them. The 24-year-old midfielder was influential at the Qatar World Cup and impressed for Argentina in the competition, playing quite well in the win over France in the final too.

The 24-year-old has also been a brilliant player for his club this season, having scored 12 goals and providing two assists in 37 appearances for the Seagulls and helping them lodge a push for a top-7 place finish in the Premier League, which would guarantee European football for Roberto de Zerbi’s side next season.

Mac Allister – who was lauded as a ‘very, very special player’ by Manchester United legend Paul Ince earlier this season and reportedly earns wages of £50,000-a-week –  can play in multiple areas in midfield and is an energetic, creative player who should perfectly fit into Jurgen Klopp’s system and be a marvel for Liverpool, if they’re able to secure his signing.
