Arnaut Danjuma Leaves Everton Furious After Tottenham Hotspur Move

It has been reported that Everton were initially close to signing the Dutch winger to help solve their attacking problems this season. However, Danjuma changed his mind and decided to venture to North London.

The 25-year-old has signed a short-term contract with Spurs – the move is only a loan. There are no mandatory clauses in this deal to make it permanent at the end of the season, meaning that Danjuma will have to prove himself invaluable in the Premier League to convince Spurs to sign him.

Everton, meanwhile, have been left furious as they will now miss out on the signing of a top-quality player. Even though everything seemed set for Danjuma to move to Goodison Park, Antonio Conte’s side managed to hijack the deal in the eleventh hour.

Danjuma Set to Improve Tottenham Frontline

The 25-year-old has some experience playing in the Premier League in the past with Bournemouth. He made 14 appearances in the league, but was unable to provide any goal contributions and only really hit form after the side’s relegation to the Championship. Danjuma joined Villarreal in 2021 and ended up being a hit for them, scoring 22 goals and providing four assists in 51 outings. Over his last five full seasons, the winger has averaged 17 direct goal involvements per year, an impressive record for someone who still has many years left at the top of the game.

Conte will hope that the Dutchman adds more power to his frontline and helps them score more goals in the second half of the season. Currently in a patch of rough form, Tottenham are also reported to be eyeing more signings in January.
