Harry Kane’s future hangs in the balance, with David Ornstein of The Athletic reporting that Spurs’ star striker has not ruled out the option of extending his contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
Ornstein explained that: “conversations are planned for once the winter market shuts and, if the circumstances are right, he is open to signing a new deal.”
Given the frustrating season Spurs are currently enduring, an extension of Kane’s contract would be a much-welcomed boost for both the club’s hierarchy and its fans.

Kane Links to Manchester United
However, with just eighteen months left on the forward’s current contract, rival clubs may look to swoop for Kane, with reports already suggesting that Manchester United are targeting a potential move for the 29-year-old in the summer.
Whilst the Red Devils have recently signed Wout Weghorst on a short-term loan, those reports allude to Erik ten Hag wanting a more permanent solution in his number nine position. The Dutchman likes his strikers to have a physical presence and the ability to link play – Harry Kane ticks both of those boxes, as well as offering elite-level goalscoring prowess.

Daniel Levy has already fought off interest from Manchester City last summer, and he will need to act quickly to ensure the red side of Manchester faces the same fate as the blue.
A Tottenham Legend
Whether he stays or goes, Harry Kane will forever be remembered as arguably Tottenham’s greatest-ever player. The forward has already won three Premier League golden boots, and will almost certainly become the club’s top goalscorer before the end of the season.
In the eyes of most Spurs fans, he is, and always will be, ‘one of their own’, and a transfer away from the club is unlikely to change that.
