Manchester United could find it difficult to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic on loan in January, claims Fabrizio Romano. The Red Devils are currently on the search for a new striker after terminating the contract of Cristiano Ronaldo in November.
Manchester United Could Struggle With Dusan Vlahovic Loan Deal
United Have Always Admired Vlahovic
The Manchester side are surveying a lot of options as they pursue a new centre-forward in the winter transfer window but could struggle with the financial aspect of it. Romano adds that they have always been great admirers of Vlahovic after seeing his impressive work in Serie A over the last few years.
However, it is also added that Juventus are not going to accept a loan offer for the Serbian striker after having signed him for over £60 million last January. Even though the club are held up in a UEFA investigation amid false accounting allegations, they are unlikely to be forced to sell their top players – like Vlahovic – for cheap this month.

That means United can find it difficult to convince the Bianconeri to sell Dusan Vlahovic, who was hailed as an ‘extraordinary player’ by ex-Juventus star Alessio Tacchinardi last year. Erik ten Hag is eyeing a potential loan move for a new centre-forward after losing out on the addition of Cody Gakpo.
Interesting Window for the Red Devils
After having spent over £200 million in the summer transfer window, the Red Devils have run out of transfer funds and are going to be forced to look at short-term deals only in the January transfer window. That means they will have to be extremely astute with their search for a new striker, as well as convincing them and their parent club at loaning them the player for the rest of the season.

Barcelona forward Memphis Depay is someone they could permanently re-sign for cheap, as he reportedly wants to leave the club with six months remaining on his contract. There are other options as well, but not exactly a plethora of possibilities either. With Ten Hag only having Anthony Martial as a natural number nine option, it remains to be seen who he can convince to join his club on loan in the winter window.
