The Graham Potter derby takes centre stage for the blues after they secured a spot in the knockout stages of the Champions League in midweek. The Stamford Bridge side remains undefeated since appointing the Englishman. What will the Chelsea lineup look like as Potter returns to his old stomping ground?
Chelsea Lineup Prediction vs Brighton for The Graham Potter Derby
How Chelsea Have Lined-Up Recently
With the fixture congestion caused by the Champions League, there’s been some heavy rotation and head-scratching lineups, including Cristian Pulisic and Raheem Sterling lining up at wing-back.
The only constant has been the starting back three of Thiago Silva, Trevoh Chalobah, and Marc Cucurella in the continued absence of Wesley Fofana and Kalidou Koulibaly.

Chelsea’s Recent Form and Tactics
The club has not lost a game since sacking Thomas Tuchel and appointing his successor. While there was some brief experimentation early on with a back four, the team have largely lined up with a back three.
Beyond the back line, it’s anyone’s guess as they’ve occasionally had 2 up front with one man in behind, other times it’s a flowing front three, and sometimes it’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang flanked by two wingers.

Chelsea Injuries to Consider
Kalidou Koulibaly will officially miss this game, it is just a bit too early for the defender to make a comeback. Mateo Kovacic seems likely to play, while Reece James and Wesley Fofana remain sidelined for the foreseeable future.
Chelsea Lineup Prediction
The Blues will likely lineup in some variation of a 3-4-3 formation, although there could be some flexibility with a 3-4-1-2.
