All of the talk surrounding Nottingham Forest is regarding their record-breaking incomings. Their new signings are nearing 20 which is truly remarkable, but attentions turn to the outgoings. Alex Mighten has dropped down the pecking order and has now gone in search of more regular football. The winger has, therefore, joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan.

About the Nottingham Forest Winger
Alex Mighten has only known Nottingham Forest having joined the club in 2009. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut over in the US and, so, despite playing for England through the youth systems, the USMNT are confident that he will represent them. The Nottingham Forest winger made 19 of his 24 appearances last term from the bench and so even in the Championship he has struggled to secure regular football.
Following Forest’s promotion, the Premier League is going to become League One for Mighten for the upcoming season. Sheffield Wednesday, who have had a very busy window of their own, have officially added the 20-year-old to their ranks. Darren Moore is assembling a squad that is perfectly capable of making it to the Championship.
Just last week, Mallik Wilks was brought in from Hull City and so the wide options at Hillsborough are excellent for the level. Lee Gregory and Josh Windass are perfectly capable players down the middle and with Wilks and Mighten either side of them, who knows what the Owls can achieve this season.

Departing the City Ground
Mighten is leaving Forest (for the time being) as several players have arrived and gone straight ahead of him in Steve Cooper’s plans. Jesse Lingard and Morgan Gibbs-White are just a couple of the names and from an England international to a signing in the region of £45 million when add-ons are included, this is some stiff competition.
The one major departure from the City Ground prior to this was that of goalkeeper Brice Samba. The Congolese shot-stopper starred last term and so it came as something of a surprise when he left for Lens in France. Alongside Jonathan Panzo and Ethan Horvath, Mighten is now to the next loanee out of the club.
