AC Milan Have Finally Reached an Agreement for Belgian Starlet

AC Milan Have

AC Milan have finally reached an agreement with Club Brugge for Belgian starlet Charles De Ketelaere, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Rossoneri agreed to personal terms with the player weeks ago, but negotiations with the Belgian side took quite some time.

De Ketelaere wanted the move to Milan and will sign a contract until 2027.

Strong Youth Core

De Ketelaere adds to Milan’s strong youth core. The future is quite bright looking at the current team, especially just the talent that is under 25 years old.

In the defence, this includes Theo Hernandez, Fikayo Tomori, and Pierre Kalulu. The midfield includes Sandro Tonali, Ismael Bennacer, Yacine Adli, and Tommaso Pobega.

Finally, the attack includes Rafael Leao. The Portuguese winger looks to be Milan’s most exciting young talent since Gianluigi Donnarumma, who of course is now at Paris Saint-Germain. De Ketelaere, however, adds to the youthful riches up front.

The Belgian scored 14 goals and provided seven assists last season in the Jupiler League. These are exciting numbers for a 21-year-old. He’ll likely find his way into the starting line-up at some point due to his versatility, as he can play both as a striker and as an attacking midfielder. Milan’s striking core at the moment includes Olivier Giroud and Divock Origi. The attacking midfielder is Brahim Diaz, although he didn’t perform well last season. It would come as no surprise to eventually see De Ketelaere replace Diaz, especially since Diaz is at Milan on loan.
