Don’t Be Deceived by His Lack of Trophies

Davies spent a single season at Swansea City before moving to the Danish side Viborg FF in his youth, following a job offer his father received in the city. They spent three years there, before moving back to Wales and rejoining Swansea’s youth academy.

Davies’ next stint at the club lasted for a decade and saw the Welshman make his senior debut in 2012 in a 2-1 win against Scotland. This was also the year when the defender made his debut for the senior national team. As of July 2022, Davies has been capped 74 times by Wales and participated in two European Championships.

After two solid professional seasons at Swansea that saw the Welshman win the EFL Cup in 2013, he was signed by Tottenham, where he has been to this day. Davies hasn’t won anything more to place in his trophy cabinet, the closest thing being losses in the UEFA Champions League final and his second EFL Cup final. Regardless, the Wales international has had a solid career.
