Birmingham City striker Josh Andrews has joined Doncaster Rovers on a six-month loan.
Andrews, a towering forward, spent last season on loan at Rochdale.

Fourth Signing of the Summer
The 20-year-old striker is Rovers’ fourth addition of the summer transfer window and the second striker to join the club. His arrival follows the mutual release of Joe Dodoo.
Andrews scored three league goals in 16 appearances for Rochdale in League Two last season and will no doubt be looking to improve on that tally.
Upon signing for the club, Andrews told doncasterrovers.co.uk: “I’m looking forward to being able to play some games again in League Two, men’s football. This time I’m hoping to really do well and score lots of goals.
“As a striker, coming to this club, I’m hoping to provide some firepower to take us straight back up.
“I’m 6ft5, strong, can hold up the ball and be a target man but I think I can offer a lot more. I’m quite quick – deceivingly maybe – I’m good with my feet as well so I think I can offer a lot of different avenues of attack and create and score goals for the team.”
Andrews is yet to debut for his parent club Birmingham City but has plenty of time to prove himself.
He is the first loan signing of the window for Doncaster, who have managed to operate shrewdly on a budget – signing Harrison Biggins, George Miller and Luke Molyneux.
‘Nice That We Can Work With a Good Young Striker’ – Gary McSheffrey
Rovers boss Gary McSheffrey also told the club website: “He’s a strong lad. He’s young and still in his development stage so it’s nice that we can work with a good young striker.
“He has got the physical attributes that probably every manager in League One and Two wants to have in their squad.
“Josh coming in is a really important one for us.
“He enjoys his role, he knows what he’s good at, he knows his strengths and he plays to that.
“He’ll be a great addition to the squad.”
Doncaster were relegated from League One last season and have their sights set on bouncing straight back. It will be a difficult task though, given the strength of competition at the top of this league and the gap they have to bridge from last season’s dismal efforts.
McSheffrey is leading the club through his first pre-season as manager, having taken over mid-season. Andrews’ signing takes him up to a total of nine since taking charge of the club.
Club legend James Coppinger has taken an increased role at the Eco-Power Stadium and has also had the west stand named after him.
