Chelsea Boss Thomas Tuchel Hesitant on Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo Signings

Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo have been offered to Chelsea, reports Nizaar Kinsella of the Evening Standard. Paris Saint-Germain are open to selling their Brazilian star while Ronaldo’s representatives, not Manchester United, have been in touch regarding the Portuguese legend.

Despite these offers, Kinsella states that Thomas Tuchel isn’t being swayed by the superstars on offer and is focused solely on the chase of Raheem Sterling. Despite this, higher-ups at Chelsea could be interested in signing the 37-year-old Ronaldo according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

Thomas Tuchel Resilient

Both Kinsella and Ornstein agree that Tuchel is hesitant to sign these superstar players, largely due to the inability of Romelu Lukaku to fit into Chelsea’s high-pressing style of play. In addition, he is worried that it would upset the balance of the squad, instead hoping that the team focuses on signings like Sterling and Raphinha.
