Conversations Scheduled for Leeds United Winger

The Gunners have set up conversations with Leeds United officials to talk about the transfer in the coming days. For now, the North London side are optimistic about their chances of signing the 25-year-old and are the current favourites to sign him.

Raphinha is also open to the move to the Emirates Stadium despite being the source of a lot of demand from Europe’s major clubs. The haggling part of the entire process is of course Leeds’ valuation of the winger. Arsenal had a bid recently rejected from the Whites after it wasn’t up to the value that they are demanding.

Leeds are sympathetic to the Brazilian winger’s ambitions to play at a high level and will let him go for the right price. It could take over £60 million for Arsenal or any other side to pry him away from Elland Road in the summer.

Arsenal Facing Heavy Competition for Raphinha

Of course, the Gunners aren’t the only club looking to sign Raphinha this summer. The likes of Barcelona, Chelsea and even Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked to a move for the promising winger.

The Brazilian star reportedly prefers a move to Barcelona, but the La Liga club’s financial troubles mean that they are struggling to pay the fee Leeds want to sell him. Chelsea seem to be more focused on finalizing their departures and are eyeing a move for Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling.

Spurs have a more ‘under the radar‘ approach for the 25-year-old winger as they also seem focused on securing some of their other targets first. The reason behind this level of heavy demand for Raphinha is because of his performances last season which played a major role to help the Whites survive relegation from the Premier League.

The Brazilian winger scored 11 goals and registered three assists in 35 Premier League appearances last season and was extremely impressive, resulting in such widespread interest in his services.
