Real Madrid are interested in Hugo Ekitike, according to Jacque Talbot. Los Blancos see the youngster as a target for the post-Karim Benzema era in the striking department. Ekitike looked set for a Newcastle move earlier this month, but as of now, that did not materialize.

Real Madrid Are Interested in Hugo Ekitike
A Rising Star
Ekitike is only 20-years-old, but showing early promise as a striking prospect. Last season, while playing for Stade Reims in Ligue 1, the player scored 10 goals and provided four assists. This came on 1,275 minutes on the pitch, meaning Ekitike directly contributed to a goal every 91 minutes of playing time he saw.
Real Madrid are always on the lookout when it comes to promising youngsters. Two examples in their attack include Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo. There’s also been an increased interest in French youngsters for Los Blancos. Eduardo Camavinga came first. During this transfer window, Los Blancos also completed a deal for Aurelien Tchouameni. Now, it seems like Ekitike may be next in line.
The reigning Champions League and La Liga winners were guided under the brilliance of Benzema this season. Benzema is now 34 years old but is still showing no signs of slowing down. With that being said, Real Madrid are always prepared. They carry the prestige to where players are always interested in playing for them, and they certainly take advantage of this. It would come as no surprise to see the club covertly and swiftly complete this deal. Previously, the club pushed for French superstar Kylian Mbappe, but that move never came to fruition as Mbappe chose to remain at Paris Saint-Germain. The push, however, indicated that Real Madrid are keen on upgrading their attacking department, so now Ekitike looks to be the primary target.
