A Familiar Face
It was at Juventus that Paul Pogba first showed the world his fullest abilities. He signed for the Italian side from Manchester United in 2012 and in the four years that followed became an unstoppable midfield dynamo.
During this stretch, Pogba and Juventus were incredibly successful. Individually he was in the Seria A team of the year on three occasions, the FIFPro World 11, the UEFA Team of The Year, and he even won the Golden Boy award in 2013. During Pogba’s time there Juventus won four Serie A titles in a row, two Coppa Italias and one Supercoppa Italiana.
After 178 games for Juventus and numerous accolades, Pogba returned to Manchester United in 2016 then-record fee of £89.3 million.
Juventus in Need
Pogba’s return to Manchester didn’t end up as many had hoped with neither Pogba himself nor Manchester United reaching the highs expected of them following his record transfer. Although Pogba did show brief glimpses of his quality, ultimately his return to Manchester can be marked as a failure.

With a return to Juventus in his sights, Pogba has the chance to be the hero once again. Juventus are in a rebuilding phase right now after seeing their decade-long domination of the league snatched away from them by both Milan giants. Not only that but they are set to lose a number of key players this summer with long-time playmaker Paulo Dybala the biggest name departing the club, signing Paul Pogba and getting him back to his best will go a long way to taking Juventus back to the top of Italian football.
