Every year, there are needless transfer sagas where an inevitable move gets constantly dragged out. It has been evident for months now that Ryan Gravenberch was going to become a Bayern Munich player. The Dutchman’s destiny seems to have finally been sealed, as per Fabrizio Romano.

How Quickly Will Ryan Gravenberch Adjust to Life in Germany?
There may well be a lot of overhaul of this Bayern Munich squad. Continuity has been at the heart of their success recently, but it is time for youngsters to be blooded in. We have seen this happen successfully with the likes of Jamal Musiala and Serge Gnabry. However, the older statesmen, such as Manuel Neuer, Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller, will prove very hard to replace.
Musiala has been asked to play a few different positions in the midfield, which he has done so and passed with flying colours. That being said, the centre of the park needs to be revitalised in Bavaria. Enter Ryan Gravenberch. Spaniard Marc Roca has hardly got a look-in whilst Corentin Tolisso has had his career threatened through various injuries. Adding Gravenberch to the pool of Musiala, Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich allows Julian Nagelsmann another diverse option.

At 20, this is the first big move outside of the Netherlands for Ryan Gravenberch. There is often far too much pressure on young footballers to hit the ground running, as if moving to a foreign country isn’t difficult enough. At Bayern, he will be afforded the necessary adjustment period though and will surely go on to boss that midfield for years to come.
He Will Join Ajax Teammate Noussair Mazraoui
Ryan Gravenberch isn’t the only player swapping Ajax for Bayern as the Dutch giants go through another one of their overhauls. Erik ten Hag is now in Manchester and a number of Gravenberch’s former teammates are attracting interest from Europe’s top five leagues. One of which is fullback Noussair Mazraoui. Bayern beat off the competition from Barcelona to secure his signature.
The Moroccan’s only real competition on the left side of defence will be Benjamin Pavard and he is also perfectly capable of operating as a centre-half. Given the rumblings surrounding Lewandowski and his future, Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui are likely to be just the beginning of Bayern’s business.
Dutch midfielders and transfers go hand-in-hand currently with Ryan Gravenberch and Frenkie de Jong both subject to a plethora of interest. Whilst the latter’s future is still up in the air, it is safe to say that the former will be playing at the Allianz Arena in Munich as of next season.
