Antonio Conte is to meet with the Tottenham Hotspur hierarchy in order to hold important discussions over the club’s plans for the coming seasons.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the club’s board are feeling optimistic that the Italian manager is feeling happy and settled at the club, meaning the former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss is expected to be at the centre of their long-term planning.

Conte is Expected to Pledge his Long-Term Future to Spurs

Conte was appointed as Tottenham manager last November, and is currently under contract with the north London club until June 2023. However, the 52-year-old often cast doubt over his future with the Premier League side over the course of his first few weeks and months at the helm.

Despite that, Conte was able to guide Spurs to a top-four finish at the end of his first season in charge. A final-day victory over relegated Norwich City allowed the Italian’s side to pip fierce rivals Arsenal to a Champions League place, which may yet prove crucial to the future of both the manager and a number of key players.

That season-ending win at Carrow Road was also of huge significance to South Korean forward Heung-min Son, who scored twice as Spurs eased to a 5-0 scoreline. The 29-year-old’s brace took him to 23 league goals for the season, enough for him to share the coveted Golden Boot award with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

First Summer Signing in Place as Conte Revolution Takes Shape

Conte has already felt the backing of the Spurs hierarchy in terms of his transfer dealings while at the club. The loan acquisition of winger Dejan Kulusevski has been a particular success, and Conte will hope and expect the Swede’s stay to become permanent this summer.

Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster will arrive in the coming days to provide competition for France’s Hugo Lloris, while a recent cash injection of £150 million was pledged to the club by its ownership group after Champions League qualification was secured.

It is not clear at this stage how much of that money will go towards first-team transfer incomings, but Tottenham are expected to be busy in the market ahead of next season.
