As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Juventus stalwart Paulo Dybala will not be extending his current contract and is set to leave the club in the summer. Juventus and Dybala’s representatives failed to come to an agreement, despite the club making a recent push to re-sign Dybala and Juan Cuadrado.
In a further update, Romano adds that Dybala had a full verbal agreement with Juve last summer but The Old Lady have since changed their proposal, Dybala is not happy with this and will now talk to other clubs.

A Legacy of Success
The Argentine, Dybala, joined Juventus from Palermo in 2015 for a reported €32 million, with the fee supposedly rising to €40 million over time due to add-ons. Since then Dybala has been a key part of Juventus’ return to winning ways with five Serie A title wins to his name, multiple domestic cup victories, and a litany of personal awards that includes four appearances in the Serie A Team of the Year. In his 283 appearances for Juventus, Dybala has scored 113 goals and often turned provider too, assisting 48. Dybala’s time at Juventus will no doubt be remembered fondly by fans of the team.
What’s Next for Juventus and Dybala
In recent times, Juventus have seen their days of Serie A dominance come to an end with the return to form of both Milan teams, as well as the emergence of Napoli as a major player in the league. Juventus are re-tooling, as evidenced by their signing of Dusan Vlahovic, so losing someone in his prime like Dybala is a setback for a team already trying to get back to winning ways.
For Dybala, he will not be short of suitors. As we enter the era of the free transfer there will be big moves made this summer by almost every top team in Europe. A player with Dybala’s track record and talent should be high on the scouting lists of every team. While some teams have already been linked with the Juventus stalwart, there’s no credible link just yet.
