Borussia Dortmund have prepared a five-year deal in their pursuit of German wonderkid Karim Adeyemi, with the attacker a top priority for the summer transfer window.

Striker is a priority signing
According to Fabrizio Romano, the German club have set their sights firmly on signing Adeyemi. Dortmund, who are currently second in the Bundesliga, have already prepared a five-year deal for him and are confident in finding an agreement with RB Salzburg over the transfer in the near future.
With the transfer window closed until the summer, the German outfit have already begun scouting for new talent to add to the squad. They have already completed the pre-contract signing of Niklas Sule, who will join from arch-rivals Bayern Munich this summer.
Adeyemi, who plays currently for Austrian Bundesliga side RB Salzburg is now their main focus. Salzburg sit top of the Austrian top flight, 17 points clear of their nearest rival. The 20-year-old will be in high demand in the summer, though, with Adeyemi having contributed directly to goals 19 times in his 20 league appearances so far this campaign. This will be sure to attract interest from across Europe, not just Germany, and as such, Dortmund are keen to get this deal across the line as soon as they can.
As a German national with three caps for Germany’s national team, the 20-year-old will want to return home if personal terms and a transfer fee can be agreed upon.
Signing Adeyemi at this point in the season and transfer cycle will likely prove a very smart move on Dortmund’s part. Preparing the move and speaking to Salzburg at this early stage does indicate intent as well as proving that Dortmund want him badly, and will try to pull out all the stops to sign the striker ahead of the 2022/2023 campaign.
