Doncaster Rovers have completed the signing of West Ham forward Mipo Odubeko on loan.
Odubeko spent the first half of the season at Huddersfield Town before West Ham United activated their recall clause after he made just six appearances – all from the bench.
The Ireland-born forward is Rovers’ sixth addition of the January transfer window.

Rovers Sign West Ham Forward on Loan for Remainder of Season
Doncaster have gone into a transfer window they very much needed several additions in and come out with six so far. Odubeko joins Kieran Agard, Josh Martin, Ollie Younger, Jonathan Mitchell and Adam Clayton in joining Rovers in Gary McSheffrey’s first transfer window as manager.
Odubeko spent some time with both Manchester City and Manchester United in his younger days before making the move to London with West Ham.
He has scored 13 goals in 15 Premier League 2 games so if he can replicate that kind of form can provide a fantastic option for Rovers – a side who have struggled to put the ball in the back of the net all season.
Rovers won their first away game in League One this season last weekend, beating MK Dons 1-0 at Stadium MK, and now have something to build on following a recent improvement in performances.
The club remain nine points adrift of safety.
Good Business So Far
So far, Rovers have done some good January business. The experience of Kieran Agard and Adam Clayton could prove vital in any battle for safety – and if it is to be too little too late – promotion next season. Josh Martin has had a positive early impact and Ollie Younger was voted Player of the Match on his debut after joining from Sunderland.
Mipo Odubeko represents more of an unknown given his lack of senior appearances but given his goal record at youth level and how highly rated he seems to be with The Hammers, he is worth taking a chance on.
Odubeko made his West Ham debut in an FA Cup tie v Stockport County in January 2021 and was brought on later in the competition v Manchester United when West Ham were beaten after extra time by a Scott McTominay winner.
