Portuguese U21 winger Chiquinho has joined Wolves from Estoril. It is news that has been confirmed by the official Wolverhampton Wanderers website on January 17 and met by excitement from the fans.

Promising Talent
The young winger is highly thought of and has been impressing in the Portuguese Primeira Ligue in the first half of the 2021/22 season. Chiquinho is from Cascais in Lisbon and operates on either wing giving, Bruno Lage plenty of diversity to tap into. He is mainly right-footed but is not afraid to use his left foot and is noted for his speed and close ball control.
Achieve
Chiquinho spoke to the club website and the new Wolverhampton Wanderers player is keen to achieve with the Midlands club. He said: “I want to achieve all I can because it’s a big opportunity for me.
“What I can do, I will do, so if I can score 10 or 20 goals, and if I can get six, 10 or 20 assists, then I will do.”
Such confidence in a young player will be positive news to Wolves fans as they wait to see their new player in action.
Fast
He also spoke of his pace and how he likes to run at opponents with the ball. He added: “I’m a very fast player and I do my best in the pitch.
“I like to do one-on-ones, and score goals. That’s the most important thing and I think all the players think like this.”

Scott Sellars, Wolves’ technical director, has expressed his happiness at the signing and adding Chiquinho to the already healthy Portuguese contingent at Molineux.
He said: “Chiquinho is a young, exciting and talented player who has been performing very well in the Portuguese leagues during the past few seasons, and if he keeps progressing the way he has done, we believe he can develop into an excellent signing.
“We’ve brought a lot of gifted youngsters from Portugal during the past five years, and many of those have gone on to further their careers and achieve great things here, and we hope the same will happen with Chiquinho.”
