Doncaster Rovers have signed Josh Martin on loan from Norwich City.
Martin had previously been on loan at MK Dons before The Canaries recalled him, sending him to Doncaster, presumably for more first-team opportunities.

More Attacking Options
Doncaster Rovers are struggling in League One, sitting rock bottom, ten points adrift from safety. Rovers have suffered a significant number of injuries throughout the season and could do with as many additions as feasibly possible this month.
Martin, 20, adds another option to Doncaster’s attack, just days after the addition of experienced Football league forward Kieran Agard.
Martin is a winger and assisted one goal in ten appearances across all competitions during his stint with MK Dons.
He is another player to join Rovers with links to Arsenal, including Joseph Olowu, who recently extended his contract at the Eco-Power Stadium and Matt Smith, who is on loan from The Gunners. Martin, like Olowu, was previously part of the Arsenal academy.
Martin joined Norwich in 2020 and has made 16 senior appearances for the club – including five in the Premier League.
Positive Signs for Rovers
No strangers to being on the losing side this season, Doncaster were beaten once again at the weekend – losing 2-1 to promotion-chasing Wigan Athletic. However, there were finally some positives to take from the South Yorkshire side’s application on the day, offering a glimmer of hope to a very bleak situation.
Omar Bogle got himself back on the scoresheet, a striker who was frozen out under previous boss Richie Wellens. Aidan Barlow also deserves credit for his performance on Saturday afternoon, one of his most comfortable performances for the club.
After a dismal start with failed long ball attempts, Rovers played some good football approaching the half-time whistle. A goal at that stage in the game could have seen a different result, though, Rovers were two down by the time they did score, leaving them with it all to do, and handing the advantage to The Latics as the seconds went on.
Martin is manager Gary McSheffrey’s second signing for the club and will wear the number 21 shirt for Rovers.
