Highly Rated Member of Staff With a Strong Connection to Ralf Rangnick

Ewan Sharp is set to become the latest addition to Ralf Rangnick’s staff in his new job as Manchester United interim manager, following in the footsteps of Chris Armas & Sacha Lense, as has been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.

Sharp worked as an assistant coach at Lokomotiv Moscow and is set to join up with Rangnick again, this time at the Theatre of Dreams. Prior to Moscow, Sharp worked in the MLS for Toronto FC. He was a coach under Chris Armas, who joined the Red Devils in late November. Whilst in Canada, Armas struggled to provide results, resulting in the sack. It is reported that Ewan Sharp left the club shortly after him.

Looking further back in his career, Sharp spent 4 seasons with New York Red Bulls between 2017-2021, working as a performance analyst. The Manchester United interim manager has worked closely with the clubs in the Red Bull franchise, including RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg, and New York Red Bulls.

Manchester United are currently experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak within their squad and have been forced to postpone 2 games. They next return to action against Newcastle United on December 27th. The Red Devils are currently unbeaten since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking and will hope to carry that form into the new year.

It has been widely reported that Manchester United are looking to bolster their coaching staff. Following Solskjaer’s dismissal, Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna have both left, meaning replacements are necessary.

Rangnick has developed some of the world’s leading coaches, including Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel. Sharp will consider himself in safe hands considering the German’s impressive CV.
