Leeds United Interested in Rangers Winger Ryan Kent

Rangers Winger Ryan Kent

According to Jordan Campbell of the Athletic, Leeds United have set their sights on Rangers winger Ryan Kent. The news comes as little surprise, either, when considering Kent’s talent in abundance. His sheer ability to drive at players, committing them one after another before drawing fouls and creating goals, is second to none in Scotland. Just last season, the Rangers winger recorded 13 goals and 15 assists as Rangers ended a nine season wait for the title.

If you cast your minds back a few years, Liverpool actually let Kent go following various loan spells away from the club. In truth, he was never really handed a chance at Anfield before leaving to ply his trade in Scotland. With that in mind, the Rangers winger will be desperate to prove himself in the Premier League one day and finally prove Liverpool wrong.

Leeds United Not Content on Mid-Table Finish

It is clear from this summer’s movement alone that Leeds are not content with a mid-table finish. They want more; they want to one day break into that top six. And they’ve certainly got the potential to do so. After all, they didn’t lose once at home last season against any of the natural top six sides, conceding just twice in the process.

Add Rangers winger Ryan Kent to the mix, a title winner in Scotland, and they’ve got themselves an increasingly dangerous frontline. The former Liverpool man would join forces with Patrick Bamford, scorer of 17 Premier League goals last season, and fellow winger Jack Harrison.

The fearless way in which Marcelo Bielsa sets up will only add fuel to the fire, too. The way Leeds counter-attack would benefit Kent; it would boost his goal contributions that extra bit more. The fact is, for both Leeds and Kent, the move would be beneficial.
