Second Watford Spell for Rose

Watford is a place not unknown to Rose as he spent a short spell on loan at the club from March 2009 to the end of that season where then manager Brendan Rodgers often has praise for Rose’s obvious talent.

Rose will be hoping that his return to Watford can rebuild his career after a frustrating couple of seasons at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium where he first fell out of favour with Mauricio Pochettino and then Jose Mourinho with whom he had a public spat with on the Amazon documentary: All or nothing.

Sad End to Spurs Career

Itv was a sad end to his Tottenham career for Danny Rose and for the 2020/21 season he was not allocated a squad number as Mourinho made it clear that he was not part of his plans and made him train with the U23 squad at Hotspur Way. This meant he was unable to play for Spurs in the Premier League or Europa League until January 2021 and despite injury to Ben Davies and the inconsistent form of Sergio Reguilon, his opportunity still never came and his Tottenham career officially ended on 27 May 2021 when he was released along with keeper Paulo Gazzaniga.

New Future for Danny Rose

Rose is hoping for a brighter future with Watford and is eager to get back to playing football after too long away from the game that he loves. Watford certainly have themselves an experienced player in Danny Rose.
