Luton Town boss Nathan Jones expects to revisit a possible deal for West Bromwich Albion winger Kyle Edwards when the transfer window reopens in summer, according to Luton Today.
The 22-year-old emerged as a late transfer target during the chaotic last few days of the window, with the asking price presenting a problem to the Championship club.

Kyle Edwards Proved to Be Too Costly for Luton Town
Edwards- who will see his contract expire with West Brom in summer – has been confined to featuring for the club’s U23 side this season, with the recent signing of Robert Snodgrass, lowering the 22-year-old’s chances of first-team action.
A move away from the Baggies looked likely when Luton expressed an interest, with such a move seemingly benefitting both clubs, and the winger himself. However, finances disrupted the transfer, with Luton manager Nathan Jones keen on keeping an eye on Edwards, and the Welshman told Luton Today that: “Windows are really, really weird, we tried to do a little bit of business and we weren’t able to, which we will revisit, but that meant it freed up a place, so it meant we could bump someone on, in terms of that.
“We tried to go in and get someone, but it wasn’t possible which we fully respect, which meant then there was scope to bump someone up from the summer window to now and then revisit the other one in the summer.”
Missing Out on Edwards Led to the Signing of Elijah Adebayo
With the chances of securing a deal with Edwards diminishing away by the minute on deadline day, the Hatters turned their attentions to Walsall striker Elijah Adebayo.
According to the Lutonian, the 23-year-old was not on Luton’s radar until six hours before the window shut. But despite a seemingly rushed move for the former Fulham man, the Bedfordshire club had been quietly tracking him prior to the January transfer window.
