Leyton Orient have confirmed that they have signed Nick Freeman on loan from Wycombe Wanderers until the end of the season.

Leyton Orient Sign Nick Freeman on Loan

Vital Game Time for Freeman

Freeman is the second player to join Leyton Orient this window following the permanent signing of Dan Kemp from West Ham United. A loan move will offer vital game time for the 25-year-old.

Freeman joined the Chairboys in 2016 when they were a League Two side after impressing in non-league. The winger made a total of 17 appearances during his first season at Adams Park.

Up until this season, the 25-year-old has been a regular for Gareth Ainsworth’s side. He has made over 100 appearances over the last three season’s, helping Wycombe climb the Football League ladder up to the Championship.

However, he has struggled for form and game time this season as Ainsworth’s side settle into a new division, making just eight appearances in all competitions. It is a stark contrast to the 34 he made last season in League One, where he registered two goals and four assists in the process.

As a result, a return to League Two will hopefully help Freeman in his confidence and offer him a chance to prove himself again.

What Was Said?

Speaking about his new signing to the Leyton Orient website, O’s Head Coach Ross Embleton said: “I’m really pleased to sign a player of his quality. I’m really excited to work with him.”

Freeman added: “I’m buzzing to be here. This is a big club.

“I’ve played against Leyton Orient. They have high expectations and I’m excited to be here.”
