A move to Cardiff City is edging nearer for Perry Ng, with the defender set to have a medical at the club ahead of a move according to reports.

Perry Ng to Have Cardiff Medical Ahead of Transfer Move

Crewe Boss has Confirmed the Transfer Deal

The Crewe Alexandra man has been linked with a move to a higher tier – and to Cardiff – for a little while now, so it’s no surprise to hear that the player is now set to have a medical with the club.

Crewe boss David Artell has even confirmed the move himself, which makes it seem even more likely that a deal is going ahead.

Ng has spent the entirety of his professional career so far at Crewe. Having made his debut for the club as a 19-year old in League One, he has since established himself as a regular in the side and one of the most impressive defenders in the third tier.

Over 150 Appearances for Crewe

He has accumulated over 150 league appearances for Crewe and is still just 24-years old, with plenty of room to continue improving as a player.

Cardiff boss Neil Harris clearly sees something in him, as he is willing to give the player the chance to try his luck in the Championship for the first time in his career.

Cardiff Could Sign Perry Ng Before the QPR Game

The Cardiff manager has been on the lookout for defensive reinforcements during this transfer window and has identified Ng as an ideal player to help solidify the club’s defence and help them push on in the second half of the campaign.

He launched a bid for the player earlier this window, only to have it rejected. However, terms have now been agreed for the player and he will undertake a medical ahead of a move that could see him join the side before they play Queens Park Rangers – if he does, he could make his debut for the Championship side that game.
