Plymouth Argyle Sign Full-Back Adam Lewis From Liverpool
Lewis Has Bright Future
Lewis is Plymouth’s first acquisition this window with Ryan Lowe looking to fill the void at left wing-back. Lowe has managed to replace Jerome Opoku, who returned to Fulham after the conclusion of his loan spell.
Lewis is highly thought off at Liverpool, with many predicting a bright future for him. He signed a long term deal at the start of the season and has featured for Liverpool’s youth teams at all levels. He has one senior appearance for the Reds which came in the FA Cup against Shrewsbury Town.
He is a very talented full-back who is gearing up for his first taste of EFL action. Lewis will compete for the left wing-back role in the Plymouth side, with Ryan Lowe sticking to his trusted back three system. A move offers Lewis a great opportunity to get some game time and gain some valuable experience at League One level.
Lewis Arrives After a Brief Spell in France
He returns to England after a spell in Ligue 2 with Amiens during the first half of this season. Lewis featured just nine times for the French side and Liverpool opted to recall him after a disappointing spell.
He will be relishing the challenge ahead with Plymouth just four points clear of the relegation zone. Plymouth need as many wins as possible with so many sides having games in hand on the Pilgrims.
Lewis could make his debut this weekend when Crewe Alexandra visit Home Park in what is an important game for both sides.
