Alan Browne has agreed a new contract at Preston North End, as confirmed by the clubโs official website.

One of a Number of Players Out of Contract
The midfielder- who has now signed a new deal- was one of a number of key Preston players who are out of contract in the summer, so it is a matter of importance that the club try and sign them to new deals before they leave for nothing.
With many fans fearing club captain Browne could leave the club, theyโll rejoice in the news that he has now agreed an extension to his current deal.
The Republic of Ireland international has been with the club since he was 18-years old.
Browne is Club Captain
After starting to get games for the club when they were in League One, he has slowly established himself as one of the clubโs most important and longest-serving players.
In fact, Browne is now the clubโs captain and is loved by many of North Endโs fans – so the news of an extension is good news and good business by the club.
The deal will see Browne stay at the club for a further three years and until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Speaking about the new contract, Browne said: โI have been here a long time and it is such a relief to get it over the line and have a few more years of me being at this fantastic club and hopefully we can make the next coming years successful.
โIt is time to take the next step with my career. I had different opinions from different people and I wanted to gather as many opinions as I possibly could I felt that this was the right decision for me and hopefully I can progress with my own career, as well as with the football club.โ
With one of the big five now signed on, itโs now time for North End to try and get all the others tied up to deals.
