Scotland winger Robert Snodgrass has officially completed his move from West Ham United to West Bromwich Albion. The winger becomes the first signing of the Sam Allardyce reign at the Hawthorns- leaving West Ham after four years.
The 33-year-old has signed an 18-month contract as he looks to help guide the Baggies away from the threat of relegation. His experience, alongside his ability, should make him a key asset for Allardyce who is looking to avoid the dreaded drop once more.

Experience of Snodgrass Key
The experience of Robert Snodgrass could provide West Bromwich Albion with the key to unlocking another season in the Premier League. The Scotland international has previously had relegation scraps with former clubs West Ham and Hull City- with the latter ending with failure.
Nonetheless, despite failing to survive with Hull, the fact Snodgrass has faced the battle several times before should help a young and inexperienced West Bromwich Albion side.
Allardyce will know the importance of this month’s window, and will likely seek further additions. For now, though, it is Snodgrass who becomes the first to arrive under the former Sunderland manager.
West Brom in Perilous Position
As it stands, West Brom are 19th in the league, six points adrift of safety having conceded nine goals in their last two games. Allardyce has pulled off miracles in the past, but even he may not be able to save the Baggies from relegation this season.
Snodgrass will prove to be a good addition, yes, but he alone will not solve West Bromwich Albion’s problems. They must invest in their Premier League status, or they will drop back down to the Championship just one season on from promotion.
Up next in the Premier League, they face Wolverhampton Wanderers in another game as underdogs, but another game they must come away having secured some points.
