REPORT: Juventus Want Moise Kean On Loan

Moise Kean

Just one year ago, Moise Kean made the transfer from Juventus to Everton for £30 million. According to Fabrizio Romano, the current Serie A champions are looking to loan back the attacker as a back-up plan. Everton opposes to the idea, however, after paying a big fee for Kean last year.

The Italian is a regular off the bench under Carlos Ancelotti, in competition with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison. With their new signings, Everton looks very promising and Kean could be crucial to the Toffees’ goal-scoring record this season.

Juventus Looking to Loan Back Everton Attacker Moise Kean

A Rocky Start

Moise Kean was slowly beginning to break through at Juventus, making last year’s exit an unexpected one. In his last season, the Italian appeared 13 times in Serie A and scored 6 goals.  Kean is still only 20 years old and looks to have a very promising future, which again puts into question why he was shown the exit door in the first place.

When he moved to Everton, the move, despite being an unexpected one, seemed the right one when considering game time. The attacker would get more regular game time which is crucial to his development. Despite this, his first year at Goodison Park has been substandard. In 29 Premier League appearances,  Kean has only managed two goals and two assists. For £30 million, only four goal contributions is a poor return.

Interest From Italy

Juventus have won the Serie A title in each of the past nine seasons, but are still looking for ways to improve. New manager Andrea Pirlo has decided that Gonzalo Higuain is not part of his plans, and is looking to terminate his contract.

Regardless of his poor return, Moise Kean could be a good back-up for Juventus. His physical qualities can be useful against the defender’s tired legs. Fortunately for Kean, Everton reportedly oppose to this move after buying him last season. The regular football he gets in England is key to his development. At 20 years old, Moise Kean has work to do but can succeed in the right environment when given the chance.
