Fan Favourite Chris Maguire to Stay on Wearside

The creative forward with a keen eye for goal can play anywhere across the forward line and will be a key player for manager Phil Parkinson when the new season finally gets underway. Maguire scored nine goals in the first season at the Stadium of Light as the club narrowly missed out on promotion.

A further 11 goals came his way during the current campaign; however, with Sunderland outside of the playoffs when the league was suspended, another League One campaign will be played on Wearside.
